Weddings

Marriage is a sacrament of the Church and therefore requires careful preparation leading up to the wedding. Couples will be required to meet with the Rector a minimum of three times to discuss the nature of Christian marriage and to make preparations for the wedding service.

A minimum of sixty (60) days notice is required for all weddings, except in the most extraordinary cases, to ensure that the church is available on the desired date and that there is time to meet with the Rector and to attend a marriage preparation course. There is an information form that must be completed, indicating the time, date, and other details of the wedding. Couples must purchase a marriage licence and provide it to the priest before the wedding rehearsal.

Fees for all weddings in this parish are as follows:

Church	$100.00 (includes custodial fee)
Organist	$75.00 (applies regardless if outside musicians employed)
Priest	There is no set fee, however long tradition suggests that a donation to the priest that reflects your appreciation is customary. Couples should reflect on the importance of the priest to the completion of the wedding and take into account all of the other costs of the wedding when determining an amount. The Rector is happy to engage in a discussion with couples to help in the reflection.

Funerals

Due to their nature, funerals do not require the rigorous advance preparation that weddings do, but it is our experience that those who consult with their clergy or with a funeral home in advance about their expectations for a funeral service provide peace of mind for family in times of bereavement.

Minimum fees for funerals in the parish are as follows (may vary depending on funeral home):

Church	$100.00 (includes custodial fee)
Organist	$75.00 (only applies if service is in church)
Priest	The funeral home generally builds the minimum clergy honorarium into the cost of the funeral. Families who are especially grateful for the presence and care of the clergy may wish to make a separate donation directly to the priest.
